Can friendfeed replace Facebook for me?

Not many of my friends use social networking sites other than Facebook. So that's been the dilemma as I prepared to leave Facebook (which I finally did this morning)--how do I keep in touch with my friends without Facebook?

Duplicating discrete functionalities of Facebook is easy, be they notes, posted items, photos, IMs, or emails. (I don't think it's possible to duplicate FB's "wall" functionality, until and unless I can find a central aggregator subscribed to by all my friends, i.e. another "Facebook.")

The difficult part is (1) disseminating all these updates to my friends and (2) aggregating their updates for myself in turn.

Enter friendfeed. It beautifully brings together all the disparate functionalities I'm used to from Facebook and pushes all of my updates on them out to the more popular twitter service. Now, however, comes the really, really hard part--persuading all my friends to install friendfeed on their Facebook account or, less desirably, to link twitter and Facebook.
